This AIR802® power-over-Ethernet (PoE) device, model PSA24V19W is an industrial combined midspan injector and power adapter all-in-one with 19.9 watts power at 24vdc. Includes AC power cord.This device is a passive or IEEE 802.3af Mode B type PoE injector.
The IEEE 802.3af standard defines the operation of power-over-Ethernet. There are two modes, mode A and mode B. Mode A was defines the voltage being carried over the same conductors in the Ethernet cable as the data information is flowing over. Mode B was defined to provide the power over the spare conductors in an Ethernet cable. Mode B is very common among wireless access points and IP cameras where 10BaseT and 100BaseT (10/100 Mbps) interfaces are used.
